SPRING 2014 MATH Professional Development…

CMASE Night: Decimals, Decimals, Decimals!!! (4th-6th grade Common Core)
Monday, March 10, 2014   
Time: 5 to 8:00pm
Location: CMASE, 346 N. West Ave., Room #202, Fayetteville, AR
Registration Fee *: $25

Your students would never believe these descriptions of Decimals:  Decimals are Delightful!  Decimals are Dandy!  Decimals are Down-right FUN!!! Maybe as a teacher you don’t believe that either.  Attend this 3 hour PD session and Develop a new Direction for Dazzling your students with DECIMALS!  This will include the concepts of reading and writing decimals, adding decimals, fractions to decimals to percents, equivalency, comparing decimals, etc.

Registration Fee includes light supper beginning at 4:45pm, workshop materials, and 3 hours of ADE-approved professional development.

SUMMER 2014 MATH Professional Development…

 Thinking Mathematically for 6th-8th Grade Teachers

 

After two very successful years, the Center for Math & Science Education is again offering Thinking Mathematically for Middle Level math teachers (Grades 6-8^th).  Dr. Laura Kent, Rachel Carethers, & Tammy Guthrie will supply the training which is scheduled for July 28-30, 2014.

 

Thinking Mathematically YEAR 2 GROUP: This is open for those who have completed Year 1 of the Thinking Mathematically training.

Thinking Mathematically YEAR 1 GROUP: This will be a NEW group for teachers who are wanting to begin Thinking Mathematically training.

Where is CMASE?       How do you get there?     Where do you park?

 

Directions: Located in Fayetteville, AR at 346 N. West Ave. between Dickson & Lafayette Streets. It's the older 3-story red brick building across from On the Rocks. Enter from the back of the building and the Center is immediately inside the door. Main office: #202.

 

Parking:  City parking FREE ON WEEKDAYS UNTIL 2pm.  Must use PAY city parking after 2pm and weekends. NO PARKING IN UNIVERSITY LOTS WITHOUT A PERMIT, except as stated below! 

 

The University lots around the building are available for PAY CITY PARKING after 5pm on weekdays. Free weekends UNTIL 2PM ONLY!
